About Ark Gallery & Framing Studio

Cockington Court, Torquay
Cockington Court is home to the Ark Gallery & Picture Framing Studio, is located in the historic village of Cockington that nestles in a valley of outstanding natural beauty in Torquay, Devon.

We look forward to your visit when you next come to Torbay 'The English Reviera' - a visit to the Craft Studios at Cockington Court is a must.

Our aim is to offer a personal service to each of our many customers and visitors that come to the gallery each year. In particular, we are delighted to welcome back customers who make a point of ‘popping in’ year after year while visiting Torbay.

The gallery displays a wide range of contemporary art by well know National and Torbay artists all at reasonable prices – often well below high street gallery prices. The Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust that seeks to encourage the promotion of Arts and Crafts at Cockington Court make this possible.

Here you will find tasteful decorative art for home and public areas. These range from Original mixed media abstract art by Janet Rogers or, Westcountry seascapes and Dartmoor landscapes oil on board by Alan Kingwell. Most of our fine art sales are Limited Edition Giclee prints. There is an impressive art display of nostalgic fine art prints by Margaret Clarksons – ‘Scorching’ is one of the latest additions to her collection of must have art prints.

Open edition art prints by the nations most popular artist Jack Vettriano are available on paper or canvas.

Sue McDonagh’s limited edition fine art prints of children playing by the Seaside also provide much to reflect on and are a firm favourite with parents and grandparents. And there is lots more, modern art by Simon Bull including floral, landscape and figurative fine art prints. Also, Pip McGarry one of Europe’s leading wildlife artists and Godfrey Tonks – renowned for his vibrant use of pastel and oil, his vivid depictions of Mediterranean and British landscapes have brought much acclaim.

We hope that you will find our new web site www.arkgallery.co.uk helpful and easy to navigate. In designing the site, we have tried to keep it simple to help you navigate to the artwork that you are looking for to decorate your home. New artwork is continually being added to our ‘virtual’ gallery so, if at first you don’t succeed in finding that special art print, please try again and again!

Our Fine Art Trade Guild Commended Framer does the picture framing in the Studio.

This means that you can expect our picture framing to be of a high standard and to receive good advice when you visit the Studio or over the telephone. For more information please visit our Framing section.
